that's right... I tried uploading my 17MB MVid. and it DOES NOT EXIST... I did just as the guide told me and I go on here to see if it works in CONFIRM VIDEO and that's what it gives me... what's wrong? What do/did I do?[/b]

I don't know what guide you're talking about.

When you went to the confirm video page, did you already upload the file with an ftp program? I mean, you spent an hour or so uploading it until the program said it was complete? And when you got to the 'confirm video' page, did it give you an error instead of a page? Or did you see nothing where your video should have been? Or are you saying when you tried to download your video (the trial link) it told you the file didn't exist?

If you uploaded the vid, the confirm vid page should have had the title of the video, a link so you can test the download, and a circle you 'click' before you hit the 'confirm video' button. Did you see any of that?

i set it to upload on FTP left it alone came back and all it said was:

Command:TYPE A
Response: 200 Type set to A
Error: Timeout detected!
Error: Upload failed


so i went to check on the site, clicked on CONFIRM VIDEO, clicked on the link it said on a blank web page, "ERROR: File does not exist."

no matter what I do FTP will not upload... I keep trying and trying but it always runs out of retries... everything's fine but it keeps saying timeout... what can I do?? :(

What FTP program are you using? I'd recommend "SmartFTP" - you can find it for free with a google search.

How long ago did you try get your password to upload the video? The accounts they give you only last a day at most. If you can't get to the 'confirm video' page (or the 'upload video' page - they're the same), try clearing your cookies.

[If you're using Internet Explorer, you'd click 'tools', 'internet options,' and then 'clear cookies', 'delete files' and then 'settings', 'view files' and delete any cookies that remain. Then you log back into your org account and try to get a new password to upload your vid.]

If you're using an older FTP program that limits the number of retries, you definitely want to switch. You should be able to keep retrying until the file is fully uploaded (you can do this with SmartFTP if you have that program).

I'd have to know what ftp program you're using to see why it's giving you errors. But definitely try clearing your cookies if you're using IE and having problems with the site itself. :?

Gah! Should have mentioned - try clicking the 'cancel upload' button. Then click the 'upload video' page and get a new account and password so you can start fresh.

But do get a different ftp program if it won't let you retry when you get cut off. :?

im using FileZilla version 2.2.9 and now it says I can't connect... after it just stopped for no reason... but the load bar keeps filling... is it really working??

thank you for all your help by the way!! i'll certainly try those options if this still isn't working... if it is.. i don't know... is it uploading even tho it says im not connected but it's getting progress??

And I've never used that program, but if it says it's uploading, it might be working. Look around and see if it mentions the file size, or the '0% complete' for the upload. If it's uploaded at all (even a bit) you should be able to go to that 'confirm vid' page and see the amount it's uploaded so far (it'll be a number, the file size it has so far - don't hit anything, just see if there's a number on that page, then go 'back'). If there's no number, it's not uploading.

If it won't connect (your ftp program), your account may have timed out.
