Can't Download Videos: Windows Media Player Error

hey people im having trouble downloading the local videos
when i click the local button and it tells me to wait for 10 seconds for the download to work, windows media player pops up on teh left side of the IE webpage and then shows me a website reporting a "error playing using windows media player"

cant download the local vids

HELP!!!

Kill winodws media player!

Okay, Windows Media Player is set to view files on the internet. I hate this. Okay, I wuld try going to Tools>Options and go to the preformance tab.... Okay, where is it! Stupid upgrades.... Okay, so it says that there is an error? Try getting the newest Windows Suck Player. Otherwise I would try closing the agravating Side bar pop up and right click the link and "Save As..."
This isn't the best advise but things should start working soon.

yea i tried reinstalling windows media player but it still had the same problem. And i dont know how to disable the sidebar media player block up, and furthermore, whenever i click the link 'save as...' a page comes up saying i have attempted to download the video too fast from the first attempt/

*for some strange reason, other videos didnt have problems donwloading
im thinking the link was broken to that specific vid file
**oh ya and some other peerson had the same problem, and i see you got that taken care of too

Here's what to do.

Open IE.

Click the Media bottun below the address bar.

Go to the bottom left, there should be a new section and a button balled Media Options.

There you can fiddle with the options and hopefully stop media player from playing videos instead of downloading them.

tried it.
now the windows media player doesnt load up on the side bar,
but instead when i download it and tells me to wait for 10 seconds,
it takes me to the AMV homepage after the 10 seconds have elapsed

maybe the video link is..broken?

is it a WMV file. cause that problem happens to me with WMV's. it annoys the hell out of me.
