Post by Shinodude » Fri Nov 09, 2007 1:15 am

Joke, eh? That´s not often the case.

A friend of mine streamed the PC to his TV and than captured the TV display with his camera (he plugged in the camera too etc ;) ). I saw the ressults on DVD ressolution. It was really impressive and good. It´s a lot better than Fraps.

Anybody has a better idea? I don´t have much experience at this topic.

Actually, if you're on a mac it is the case - executables are simply folders of content in that case.

I don't know if this is really going to help you out, but I hope it'll at least point you in the right direction. I'm sorry to say that I don't know much about PC ripping. :(

Depending on the game, there may be a modding community formed for it. In which case you may want to find some of their tools and see if there is a tool that can convert the game files and cutscenes to usable filetypes. I have not done any modding or game mapping in a long time, but there are quite active modding communities and said tools for many of the pc games out there. One of the benefits of pc gaming IMO.

This is actually generally true for H-games in particular. ExtractData can be used on many games, as can hcgconvert, amongst others (like the WESTSIDE CD libraries, which include hundreds, if not thousands, of extraction programs - it's a friggin' gold mine).
