DVD AMV's?

Post by Kajino Rei » Sat Sep 04, 2004 4:58 pm

Know this may have been asked countless times before.
Sorry if that’s the case and anyone can point out a previous thread with the answers if so.

The question:

I know that DVD files end in the extensions .BUP, .IFO and .VOB; at least the video part.

Is there are program that allows one to run these files and make changes?

Like WMP with the mpeg’s.

Real Media Players with the .rm’s.

You get the idea.

I’m asking this with the idea of making a video soon/someday and for another friend with the same inquiry.

*awaits for the Sensei to arrive*

Thanks :D , read the "Getting You Video" and "Ripping DVD Footage ".

Follow up question:

It says that after you rip the DVD using _____ program...
When you are done you will be left with a bunch of files called things like vts_01.ifo and vts_01_1.vob. It's the .vob files we are interested in but, for your information, the .ifo file contains things like chapter info and subtitles.
If I get the files without using a ripping program.
Will they work the same?

Why thank you bum & aznfs for completely necroposting and indulging us in your "momentary" stupidity.

Already had my answers so the purpose of the thread was fulfilled.

If your brain was a computer hard drive, it could store something like an average value of 14gb. But what you have to remember is that your brain stores infomation chemically. I'd really like to know what the read- and write- modes of the brain look like and how they work though, it would be awesome. Its all chemicals and electricity.
