Premiere Special Effects Help

Post by GuardianX » Fri Jan 07, 2005 12:29 am

Well, I'm kind of a newbie to Premiere, but not to making AMVs. I'm just kind of sick of using WMM2. So I need some help with the basic effects that Premiere has to offer such as fade ins/outs, strobelight effect, overlaying scenes on top of each other...

Mainly those kinds of things. Any help would be appreciated. Basically any effect worth putting into an AMV I want to know about. ^^

Ohhh, ouch.
Everyone has their own opinions on this matter, I'm sure, so you won't get any definite answers here.

As for learning effects for Premiere, well, read the help file that comes with Premiere. It'll teach you how to do many things in Premiere.
Also try searching for tutorials on www.google.com
Also also may want to look into buying books that teach Premiere, such as Premiere Bible, and Classroom in a Book.

Watch these and keep an open mind on how you could apply what they show to your video. I doubt you would directly use any of the effects they go over but just following along will probably give you tons of ideas on your own.

Get yourself a good image editor like gimp, from www.gimp.org . It can help alot when doing video effects.
