ffx .m2v conversion problem

Post by dark_angel23451 » Tue Dec 07, 2004 12:43 am

alright so i used that nifty little program ffx2mov. got all my .m2v files off of it, and everything seemed great and was working fine untill i tried to convert the .m2v files into .avi. when i did that the final product played extremely fast, squished into 4-5 seconds of video. virtualdubmod and dvd2avi both gave me the same results. does anyone else have this problem with ffx? and anyone know how to fix it?

Well as ironic as it may sound, converting the m2v files into avi files using DVD2AVI is not recommended.

I recommend you use DGIndex->AVIsynth for the m2v files and then go about from there to either:
-using the AVS files directly to edit with your video editing program
-importing the AVS files into VdubMOD and then converting them to a lossless quality encoded AVI file.

Guide to that here:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... getb2.html
and work your way from there. DGIndex automatically creates AVS files for you ready to go with the saved project files(.d2v files) which can make your life way easier.
Warning: Don't install AMVapp with DGIndex if you haven't yet, if you are in a middle of a video editing project using previous versions of AMVapp.
