  • Profile: FoxJones was born in Turku, Finland in february 1981.

    His first contact to anime was when he was a 6-year old and his relatives gave him a VHS-tape of Terasawa's Space Adventure Cobra as a birthday present. (really.. what kinda people give Cobra to a 6-year old) He liked the show and unknowing about the existance of "anime" he also watched other animes of that era, translated to swedish.. "hrrr..." *shudder*

    Around mid 90's he learned about "anime". He became interested right away, but couldn't acquire any at that time. Few years later he ran into some fan's Magic Knight Rayearth homepage and that was the final blow. Now only problem was to get his little fanboy paws on some.

    It was summer of 1997 when he finally got to buy his first anime VHS. Some time later he found his way into the distribution system of that time's fansubbers, dealing translated anime on VHS-tapes. After some time he had his first contact with AMVs. Mostly stuff made by C-ko's fansub service. Being the artistic asshole with need to express himself, somewhere inside his little head was born the idea of making one too.

    Then in the beginning of 2003, with the developement of better and better computers, he thought that now is finally the time to actually try to make one. First AMV he made was made with only using vdub. It was hard to work with, but the result was encouraging. After that he made two other AMVs with vdub and thought there must be better ways to make one. Around that time he switched to Vegas Video and has been using it ever since.

    Later that year he joined the finnish AMV studio Arctic Tribe. Not long after that he also arrived to amv.org. At the end of 2005 he left the studio because of internal conflicts..

    In summer 2006 animecon in Finland he won "Best video"-prize (judge's choice) with his video "Aimon Virsi".

    Nowadays he still keeps making AMVs every now and then for his own amusement.
