M Drive 1.0

Once more, patience, at least in this situation, isn't something I possess. This is my Expo video. Originally intended to make this in the span of a day only. I doubt I even started that day, let alone get anywhere near finished. That said, in the end there's nothing like a convention deadline to push it to completion.

Simple action video, hopefully able to show how awesome Evangelion is.

Cheers!

The video was actually pretty good. Liked it for the most part, only the end was not of my taste.

Good Job

Excellent work Mark! I liked your interpretation of the music, the flow and most of all the atmosphere which drives me into the video, especially at the end part during the climax of the song when things really pick up. Definitely the best Rebuild vid out so far  5/5.

ah hah finished sooner than I thought, is this amvience compensation for BT not getting off his lazy aussie bum and editing?

I bet if I watch this I will be once again disapointed by the lack of shinji dying... as goes for most eva amvs

*edit*
ok I watched it.

I'd like to state for the record that I hate eva with a passion.
And not only am I keeping this, but I'm adding it to my favourites and giving you an op.
some of the scene's just fit perfectly with the music and yay for varying the sync and not flashing uselessly to a techno song which reminds me I watched this and thought once again Mark > Danielle at this kind of music. I could never have edited this song like this (woulda run out of ideas).
I have 2 gripes:
1.) what's with the last scene? it was kinda random or just didn't fit for me
2.) in the first half there some inconsistancy in your sync as in it stops n starts syncing in different ways.

oh and 3.) Shinji didn't die >:[

Last scene... well, I suppose just before the final bit of the song came, I felt that I was predominantly done already with what I was trying to show through most of the video. So being an ad whore, I just thought I'd throw in a snippet of what people may be missing for those who are interested in still watching the movie :P

As for the first half with inconsistent sync, that was partly intentional. The music I felt had an air of awkwardness, like it's a bit unsettling and ghostly. If you pay attention to the tempo of the lyrics compared to the beats, the voice actually now and then deviates from syncing as well. The singer doesn't hit the beat consistently, and consequently for this video, lapses in concentration sometimes led me to switching between syncing to the beats and then syncing to her voice. Half way through I thought I'll stick with it, because I thought it maintained the similar feel of awkwardness.

Shinji shouldn't die though... he should just donate blood.
