So I haven't been vidding for some time now, life and other things took over, not to mention the 2008 recession impacted considerably.
Just a bit of background on the vids I have uploaded here. Yes, they're not the highest quality, nor the best lip-synched... but considering they were all made on a shitty computer, with low levels of harddrive space and only windows movie maker... I feel I did okay, haha. Not to mention, NZ at the time had TERRIBLE internet speeds (you try getting fibre optic cable laid either through the entire pacific ocean or tasman sea!) It still hasn't happened btw >_>
I got HEAVILY into the Kim Possible fandom (KIGOOOO) around the time my amv vidding was lessoning, and over the course of a few years my skills got considerably better. As well as being able to upgrade my computers and having better access to high speed internet etc. So check out my link on youtube to see my Kim Possible stuff... a lot of it is pure, unadulterated sillyness. But many got a lot of hits, my Loving Annabelle/KP trailer parody was featured on AfterEllen.com back in 2007 which was pretty fricken awesome :3 and my most successful vid is my KP/Kissing Jessica Stein parody trailer, which has amassed over 1'000'000+ views.
Not too shabby!
But through anime and in particular, Utena and RoV... I figured out myself.
I came out as trans (FtM) in 2007 and started transition in 2008 and have been on testosterone for coming up six years now. I have to say that I am eternally grateful for this medium and the sheer number of queer/lgbt/gender-nonconforming characters therein. I don't know if I would have figured things out as early as I did if not for Anime. Seriously. Cause I am terrible at recognizing my own feelings, lol.
In regards to the AMV's I have here, I would love to take a crack at redoing some of them with high-quality encodes, plus the fact I now have a high-quality video editing computer that is actually capable of doing the work I want to do.
