The Quickening Round 1-My Entry

Here is my Round 1 Entry for "The Quickening" I hope you guys enjoy. I figured I would go ahead and upload and announce it so that I could start fixing the problems with my computer that occured during the editing process.

I came across a few technical issues during editing that weren't there when I started. I had a HDD crash while editing and for some reason my video came out with some kinda interlacing that for some reason couldn't be fixed. Thank god it's barely noticeable. It's not throughout the whole vid so it doesn't detract from the video.

Anywho, I was mainly going for a story being told through a concert performance. The journey of the chaacters and such. I had a lot of fun editing this. Hope you have fun watching it

Wow. I was really impressed with this one TC. I liked how you increased the pacing during the more action bits, but still kept it slower since this is a rather slow song. Oh, and you had restraint and didn't use the TV filter effect in Vegas. XD

I loved the additional concert scenes too.

Wasn't sure about the feathered borders around the videos at times though.

I like how you kept the pacing at a good level, it was fast where there was action and slower when there wasn't. It was blended very well together because this song is kinda awkward in terms of pacing. I do think a little loosening on the crossfades would have been nice since it does tend to get a little old and cluttery at a few places. Some colour enhancement to give it more of a magical starry feeling would have worked too, since the concert scenes didn't help in your concept (they look nice though) so more focus on the mood would have been a better method. Still, it was really enjoyable to watch. Great job!

I thought it was pretty good.

I'm not a fan of this particular remix cause it feels really tame or subdued compared to any other version including the original so it really robs you of hitting a climatic moment with both the audio and visuals. Sadly, nothing you could really do about that though. :/ You gotta work with what you were given and you managed that well enough. If it were up to me, it'd be either the original or the jabwok mix.
