(note this is the same thing as in the email group)
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING... before you just reply with "I want this..."
(basically only reply if you have something to add, please don't reply
with which tracks you want, that's what the email is for)
The Project is open to anyone who's interested and has some editing
experience AND the DESIRE to make a dance video. Note that those in attendance
at AWA that were in contact with MJ/familia will get first dibs on mixes.
Due to the 60 minute (or so time limit) there is a good chance that a
given video may not be a part of the mix shown at any cons... PLEASE
ACCEPT THIS FACT OR DON'T JOIN THE PROJECT! Painful decisions will be made
my MJ and Fluxmeister.
Also realize that this project has not been set up to play at any cons.
I'd first like to get a little sample together to prove that we are
serious about making this in to a video/dance event for cons to play
and entertain the masses with.
TRACKS WILL BE ASSIGNED SHORTLY (PATIENCE!!). PLEASE DO NOT START EDITING
FOR THE NES PROJECT UNTIL YOU ARE ASSIGNED A TRACK. (you're encouraged to
mess around with effects etc. and get the feel of making a dance video in
the meantime)
(this is a guide, we don't actually intend for EVERY mix to me made into
a video!)

If you don't have a preference on any of the mixes, then simply
let us know which anime you'd like to work with (or OWN, more importantly)
and we'll try to match it up with a good mix. ^_^
Important note: Due to the length of many of the mixes, it is likely
that you will be asked to cut it down. Admitedly I will be leanient
towards allowing more time for especially good mixes. The normal max
should be 2:30, but of course 2:00 or less would be EVEN better... 3
minutes is only if the mix is simply too good...

#4 - I accept that my video may not be part of the ConMix. I know
that ANY completed videos I make WILL be included in the Ultimate NES
Project Mix (which will consist of ALL completed videos). I will not
be a jerk or make videos for tracks I am not assigned(such as "waaah, I
wanted that mix and so I made a BETTER video for it than other person").
If I am a jerk I will remove myself from the project before someone
else does.
I will offer constructive and friendly criticism.
I will take criticism without freaking out.
I will make a good(?) dance video! ^_^

#5 - Video compression etc:
I don't care what you edit with or what magical stuff occurs... the final
should be 29.97/720x480 in either Huffyuv avi (HUUUGE) or mpeg-2.
(additional specs may come up later)
Note that the mpeg-2 will probably be converted to huffyuv avis for
construction of the final mixes.
Think quality, if you can't have the greatest then use the best you can,
PLEASE!
If you don't follow these compression guidelines... your video will not
be able to take part in the project!
#6 - Deadlines etc.
Project completion: Sometime in 2003 (before AWA9 definitely)
Video Deadlines: ... uhm see above... maybe a few months before AWA9 to
work out all the issues.
As the project progresses I would like to have regular progress reports
etc. I will probably set up a location where all the videos can be
uploaded/downloaded as to better share ideas/videos along with allowing
for critiques etc. This will remain private to the NES project staff.
