That is one of the worst things ever, and it happened to me today too. You want to be a good host and friend, but you also want everything to disappear for about 2 hours.meleechampion wrote:Have company over but all I want to do is take a nap.

Re: Vent Thread
My computer was less of a dick after I cleaned it out like a mofo, but it still restarted on me yesterday. That's not so bad. Once every few days instead of several times per day is workable until I can get the money needed to replace the rig.
But I'm keeping this in the vent thread because it still means I'm dropping a crapload of money to replace my computer, and that's just goddamn irritating.

Re: Vent Thread
Took a nap today and had a dream that I was back in my old office. I started panicking like mad since I knew I wasn't supposed to be there and then I woke up.
When I graduated college over 4 years ago, my dreams for the next couple of months were me being back at school. I wonder if I'm suffering from some sort of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I STILL have those dreams....usually it has to do with me being enrolled in a math class then forgetting I was in it till the end of a semester and realizing that I have shit tons of work past due or that I'm going to fail it. Same here. I can't stand it when I have those dreams. I also have dreams of still working at City Market and Conoco which were both very stressful jobs for me. It could very well be PTSD.ZephyrStar wrote:I STILL have those dreams....usually it has to do with me being enrolled in a math class then forgetting I was in it till the end of a semester and realizing that I have shit tons of work past due or that I'm going to fail it. I still have dreams I'm back in Russian school (where I went through grade 8), actually more so than any recent education

I have those less often, but every once in awhile it's like "so, you got a couple of college degrees, but there was this one high school class you missed, so now you have to go back for a YEAR."
All of my not-want.

Man, I'd totally go back to high school. I had so much fun... I figured that's why we're all watching slice of life anime about high school age kids (who just so happen to pilot mechs) it's to re-live our youth... right? ...right?ZephyrStar wrote:I have those less often, but every once in awhile it's like "so, you got a couple of college degrees, but there was this one high school class you missed, so now you have to go back for a YEAR."

I had one dream post-graduation where I was in school and laughing diabolically because I didn't do a report.ZephyrStar wrote:I STILL have those dreams....usually it has to do with me being enrolled in a math class then forgetting I was in it till the end of a semester and realizing that I have shit tons of work past due or that I'm going to fail it. When it came time to turn in the report, I woke up..
