Hi everyone!

Thank you all so much for your entries, as well as your patience waiting for the results. It took us longer than anticipated to select our AMV Contest finalists since we had a record number of videos this year (150 submissions after DQs). There were hours of deliberation and so many hard decisions to make. Even if you don’t see your name on this list, please know that we appreciate your creative vision, talent, and effort.

Please stay tuned for the AMV Contest Livestream to watch the top non-finalists in our Preshow and Aftershow. Like in previous years, we will be presenting one of these videos with a "Best Non-Finalist" award. More information will be sent out 1-2 weeks prior to the contest date (Friday, November 17). For more information regarding the convention, please take a look at our website: https://www.kumoricon.org/

We are proud to announce that this year we will have an additional Retro category, due to the high volume of entries fitting those qualifications. We would also like to announce that we are changing our freshness rule to include all videos released publicly after October 1 (so for next year, we are accepting videos created between October 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024). We had a number of entries this year that were released online prior to November 11, 2022, and unfortunately they couldn’t be added to our judging pool.

Please join us on Friday, November 17th @ 1:30pm PT. You can schedule a reminder for yourself by clicking the bell icon at the bottom of the video preview. If you miss the premiere, the video will be archived on the same YouTube channel (KumoriTV) for future viewing.

The first 30 minutes is a Preshow of non-finalist videos. We will also have a 30-minute Aftershow with some more non-finalists. These videos are all in the running for our Best Non-Finalist award. If you would like to know if one of your entries will be shown, please visit this link to view the non-finalist videos and their play order.

The full contest (plus non-finalists) will last approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes. There will be no online voting for the livestream, but we do encourage everyone to join the chat that YouTube includes as a part of their premiere feature. We had a lot of online participation last year, so this is a great time to get live feedback regarding your entries.

Thankfully, none of the audio was blocked for any of the videos featured. However, the livestream is blocked in Russia due to other copyright claims.

Following the contest, an AMV Contest Winners Livestream will take place on Sunday, November 19th @ 4pm PT. The link for this livestream will be sent out a day prior, so keep a lookout for it. If anyone has any questions or concerns, do let me know.

We had another incredible show this past weekend! Our audience was thoroughly entertained and moved by your submissions. Hey Spudd! Thanks! We only decided to mark runner ups for close calls (a margin of 1-20 votes), which is why some of the categories don't have runner ups indicated.
