Hello and welcome to the "OMG, Rider's a chick?!" club. quoted from Pwaffle.
Here's a little about myself. I am 26, married, and I live in Southern CA. I fell in love with amvs several years ago, i was either 17 or 18, i'm not sure. But i couldn't wait to start making my own. And now i just can't get enough of it. Dreaming up amvs, and putting moving pictures to music is such an incredible high. I get great satisfaction out of it, and gratification hearing other people's praises.
I'm a firm believer that videos you make and upload to this site should be how YOU want them to be. So many people have become ego-maniacs and gripe about the smallest insignificant things that they've lost the ability to appreciate anything out of people's creations at all. I can name several amvs on youtube that aren't up to many of the creators here skill-wise, and yet i still can enjoy them. Anyhow, criticism is definitely good because it helps you develop as a creator, however if you don't agree with an opinion someone leaves you THAT'S OKAY! Because it's YOUR creation. This is art. Some people will love your work, and others will only find mistakes. That is really what art is. Open to interpretation.
My biggest reason for uploading videos to this site, is because i hope that there will be other people who can enjoy and appreciate them besides me. Most of my videos you watch i would not change no matter how many comments i receive saying something's wrong with them. I created what i invisioned and they are my creations.

Oh, and i know a lot of people will hate me for saying this, but i don't freak out when someone else uploads/posts my videos elsewhere. In fact i find it flattering. Credit where it's due is appreciated, but what right to i have to complain that someone thought my compilation of SOMEONE ELSE'S visual work mixed with SOMEONE ELSE'S musical work was cool enough to share with other people? We must ask ourselves this.

they were made before i was introduced to the "wow" factor of amvs and are all very Movie Makerish (altho they were technically all made with final cut pro :P). i'm probably the only one who can still really appreciate them ^_^d
