Get Better // Do You Wanna??

Hey all! I'm going to try and beat the AWA rush that will probably be happening over the next week or two and put my two AWA Pro videos up now, as neither of them got nominated for anything. I really like both of these, so I'm excited to share them. Enjoy!

Although I loved Tonari as an anime, your Tatami Galaxy AMV definitely appealed to me more ;3. I think the meaning of the song really hit home with the theme of the anime and it fit very well ;o! I also liked the rapid beats you hit with your editing. It was a fun and whimsical character profile x3. It's also a brave choice to edit with that anime considering how unique the animation is ;3.

Started to think i might get to enjoy everything on 1st view recently. Guess not, good for me

1-Pretty fine sync but chemistry between animu and music wasnt my thing for whole vid...well on 1st view Then it got better . Think slides didn't work too well for this sound for some reason, but weren't too bad either. I liked falling scenes sync and cloud sync the most i think xD.

2-Something didn't snap for me here too on 1st, guess similar issue even thought its nicely edited. Well, will try gain laters.

Extra thoughts on 2nd since i got time: Actually damn I like how this works and your decisions on internal sync and cuts in general were better than I thought. Little subtle internal sync was a biggest win here I think now. But still few scenes x girl, felt a little off not sure in what way, maybe visually wise.

Thank you kindly Sam! The Tatami video is probably the one I prefer as well, as it ended up being way more personal for me (plus I like the editing better too). I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!

Thank you for watching and commenting! Jury's still out for me on how I really feel about the slides in the first video as well. I probably could have done something better but...eh, I got a little lazy and just stuck with the slides. It works, but yeah, coulda been more interesting I think.

Funny mix for Get Better, nice choice for the music. But in my opinion it deserves a more dynamical editing something like you have tried in the end.

Do you wanna is not bad the classic AMV explaining the anime,I guess.

Both of these are good. I liked Get Better better.

Do You Wanna has weak dynamics in my opinion. Lip sync seems off frequently. There is this scene from the anime (in the shop where she's getting chased and stuff) where the whole thing takes too much time in the vid.
Other than that it is still very entertaining. Probably especially since I'm a big fan of the manga.

I don't think I have any problems with Get Better. That vid just works through and through. The anime is one of the best things in existence, but I did not expect such a good video to it due to the nature of the visuals and the themes. The music is a damn good fit. It is also noteworthy that this is the first time that I have seriously considered that the effects of a motivational video worked on me. I did get some stuff done the past days.

I think I watched Get Better 15-20 times during the voting period. It was one of the videos I liked most in Pro.

Thanks! I really struggled with the ending for Get Better -- it was completely different in the version I sent to the Pro contest -- but I really couldn't find anything that worked to my satisfaction. I like what I have but I agree it doesn't really wrap things up in the best way.

And yeah, Do You Wanna?? is just a simple anime summary video, but that's all it was ever meant to be

Yeah that scene in the video is...well, I probably could have done it better. I was hesitant with it but I ended up liking it enough to keep it in there. But I agree that it's one of the weakest parts of the video. As for the lip sync: I actually think it's pretty good for what it is. I never go too overboard with lip sync because I'm lazy and just don't feel like it. But yeah, definitely could have been tighter

The fact that this helped motivate you makes me very happy. It's always great to hear that my videos have some sort of effect on the person other than just "Hey I thought this was cool." It doesn't happen often, so when it does...
