The best piece of advice you've gotten about AMV making
Yeah, I'm giving the other thread an evil sibling
Anyway, best piece of advice that I always seem to remember is this:
"Basically really analyze the amvs you like the most and try to figure out what you like about them and what parts you might be able to recreate."

"Don't give up."
"Do what you most enjoy and keep putting your feelings on your videos. Have fun by expressing yourself!"
"Who cares if it's an overused song? If you love it so much, do it!"
And now two that are always inside my mind while editing:
"Do you really need that fade there?" by Zetzu
"Try using different scenes and not an entire scene of an episode for so long, it gets boring specially for those who've seen the anime" by my dear friend Anicsi

Probably the best one I got was:
'When you start editing, forget about the world. Forget about everything. It's only you and the video. What's the point of making a video if you don't find it funny? what if you made a video that really blows, but you're not happy about it?'
