Suggestion Query "Ignore" Option

Postby Phade » Sat Nov 06, 2004 2:43 pm

Hey All,

I've added an "ignore this video" option to the suggestion query. You can now ignore a video that you have already downloaded from another source, dislike the music used in the video, or any other reason you see fit. However, the more videos you ignore, the less accurate the suggestion system becomes for you, so use it sparingly. The best thing for you do to is just download the video and give it a rating so that the suggestion system will be more accurate for you.

I hope this helps. Thanks again and have fun!! ^_^

Phade.

Another excellent feature, I must say.
This site is getting better and better.

Quick question:
Does the "Ignore Video" button affect both methods when clicked on one method? (ignore specific video on both methods)
Or does the button act individually upon the specific method it was used on?

Oddly enough there aren't any of your entries on my suggestion query list

Now with this new "ignore" feature, my list now contains mostly Naruto videos.

Very nicely implemented. I like having the two methods, and it is very nice that it keeps track of what you have put on the ignore list.

Is there anyone who doesn't have a bunch of AD videos on their list?

Thank you. Now I might be able to get some use out of the list. As it was, about 60% were videos I had already downloaded, and almost all of the rest were things I didn't really expect to like. Some drama/serious videos, most comedies, dance videos, or anything with FLCL are not my kind of thing.

I just ignored a few AD videos from my list only to have them replaced by more AD videos.

I really like this feature. It's quite helpful. :D Like a few people said it is recommending vids I have and love already (mostly stuff by Kusoyaro, Absolute Destiny, VicBond007, Doki Doki, Fluxmeister and Zarxrax but that's okay. So since I don't want to click ignore, I'll need to redownload them in order to keep from screwing up the suggestions on my list?
