[AAC 2009] Fire's Desire

Post by TwilightChrono » Sun Jan 31, 2010 12:19 am

Well, this was my Drama entry for AAC 2009. I won Action......but apparently there was a problem during the drama section of the contest and audio got messed up for everyone apparently. I don't know why I'm just getting around to uploading this though. I blame my laziness. Still, whether it is up to par to your tastes or not will be for you to decide. Here's hopin you enjoy at least a little of it. This was my first attempt at making a slow vid or rather a romance/serious AMV. but, crit is always welcome.

The lip sync could use some work as well, but over-all. I'm pleased with the outcome of the vid as a whole. Enjoy.

There wasn't a problem in the main screening. The 2nd screening, however, had to be canceled half-way in because we were running a DVD encoded higher than the spec for DVD from a cheap $30 DVD player and a piece of shit sound system. I was apparently the only one that gave two shits about everything running smoothly for this screening but was in the midst of finishing up a 3 hour iron editor and still suffering morphine withdraw and back pain when this problem came up.

Oh...I was just told there was a problem. I wasn't told when it happened at all. So, I just assumed it happened at the first showing. Still. Was a good con, regardless.

lol. She is a persistent bitch isn't she [referring to the anime].
Nice anime need to check it out ;)
Ok so nice story going on here, i enjoyed it XD.
The scenes with the robots made it a bit distracting. and got me out of the mood for like a split second. The sync was very pin point.
There was some effects that were kind of unnecessary, the zoom blur, it was random and it didn't have a smooth in and out, very distracting and unnecessary .

pretty nice

Thank you. Can you maybe elaborate on what may have been able to be improved. Cuz, I rushed towards the end, and I think it's evident where I rushed. I would just like some more insight if possible.

The only thing that I think you need to work on is your scene selection. Most of the scenes that you chose were good but some of them like Radiant said were just distracting and they took away the mood that you were going for.

I pretty much agree with what's already been said...
On another note, I don't think making it 720p added much to this particular video.

As odd as it is for me to say this,
I think this song would have worked well with hentai :ying:

Lol. That actually crossed my mind at one particular lyric in the song. For a certain scene placement that I wanted I had a hell of a time finding a scene that would be considered "Con-able"

Also, thanks for the input, Haeresis.
