OK, please be gentle; this is my first time uploading to the .org. This, and my other AMVs, have already been put up elsewhere, but I've gotten next to no feedback, which is what I'd really like so if you have any, please give it to me.

- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Re: An Inu Yasha AMV: "Miroku the Ladies Man"
To begin with, I'm not fond of the song. Trying to look beyond that, it did seem rather repetitive. Perhaps you could have edited the song a bit shorter. The video did seem to stretch on a bit.
The lip sync was OK: Done well in some places and not so great in others. Using Inu Yasha for the female chorus at 0:46 was discordant to me. The instrumental stretch of the song from 2:10-2:28 could use something else, perhaps more beat sync or internal sync (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... =2&t=92942).
On the plus side, you had a definite theme through the whole video that meshed well between the song and the main character. Audio quality was good and the video quality was reasonable, but it would have been better to crop out the thin black lines at the edge of the frame - worst at the top and left edges, but still visible on the right. You can also get better video per megabyte with the h264 codec and .mp4 (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtechbeta/) instead of .wmv.
I hope my opinion was useful. If you wouldn't mind returning the favor, here's the announcement thread for mine: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... =3&t=96023

Re: An Inu Yasha AMV: "Miroku the Ladies Man"
Thank you for the opinion, HanoFist. You've certainly given me much to consider with future projects and in case I ever decide to revisit this one. Just to sort of reply to them, the more I watch the video, the more I agree with you on my using Inu Yasha in the chorus. I'm not quite sure why I went with him. It was over a year ago, so my memory's a bit muddled.
As to the instrumental portion, I think that was just laziness on my part; not having enough clips to utilize and not feeling up to skimming through my DVDs for clips that could work.
The thin black lines are actually the result of my method for getting the footage on my computer (I use a capture device as opposed to ripping), so I'm not sure if changing codecs is going to be the solution to that. The lines are present in my other videos, too. In case anyone cares, I'll be uploading them soon, and I like to think I did better with them.
In any case, thank you very much, HanoFist. Even one comment would have been 100% more than I'd gotten before, so you exceeded my expectations. And as soon as I have some free time (in the next couple days), I'll gladly give your video a watch.
If anyone has something else, or even agree/disagree, please share.

Re: An Inu Yasha AMV: "Miroku the Ladies Man"
Cropping out the black borders would be something in the video cleanup process after capture/during editing. I still need to read up on the technical guide I linked and get up to speed on it.
In my video, I just dropped the VOB file from the DVD into Vegas and cropped the clips during editing to get rid of the borders. Probably not a recommended method.
Changing codecs was an unrelated suggestion to improve compression/reduce filesize for similar video quality.
Finally, as my vid will show, I still have a lot to learn as well.
