- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

Flight of Absolution
There is a bit of history behind this AMV. It was made as the opening for the Norwegian anime-convention "Desucon" - http://www.desu.no/. We approached Ryko with the idea arround 3 weeks before the convention. There was a high ammount of pressure since the opening-show is a big part of the convention and it alone is watched by arround 600-people live and around 3200 during the convention. It really had to blow peoples mind.
The concept behind the AMV was to show as much as possible of anime-fandom. Fast scenes, many series per minutte and it had to appeal to the crowd. What we did was to start with as much footage as we could and replace the parts that seemed boring. It's not the ideal way to make an AMV but we think it worked out well with the timeframe we had. The song was chosen becuase Desucon has a historiy of catchy openings.
You can hear the crowd reactions to the AMV in this video: http://www.desu.no/video.php (from 00:40)
Next year we want to make an even better AMV, so we are asking for feedback on this one. Go nuts, tell us what you didnt like or did like.
(I'm the project lead for the AMV project, Ryko did the editing. He didn't feel like announcing it)

well, considering that it turned out pretty sweet

my main advice for next time would be making it shorter and adding more flow between the anime series instead of just cross fading most of them into each other. generally the concept is fine though, as cliche as it is most of the time it ends up working anyway.
