So how do you guys do it?

Sometimes I really wonder how people can spit out so many AMVs or spend hours upon hours creating just one. I mean, we all have other things to do, there's school, work, social life, daily/hourly dosis of Internet news, videogames, movies, etc. etc. it just seems there's not much time or energy left to edit.

So... do you have your editing times scheduled or do you just edit when you feel like it, like when you're inspired. Do you give up time for editing, is it something you do inbetween things or just when you've got nothing better to do? Or are you only editing when a deadline for an AMV contest is around the corner? Maybe you let somebody "ghost-edit" for you?

Do you even enjoy editing?

Easy, I don't edit much

. I seem to average one video a year which I work on a little here and there throughout the year.

I JUST WANNA PLAY VIDEO GAMES...

I think all editors only edit because it makes a lot of fun.

I haven't released/finished a video in about 3 years, which is because i'm lazy as shit :O.

When I edit, I do it over very short but intense stretches of time. If I come up with a project, I pretty much just work on it and do almost nothing else (except eat and sleep) for a few days, until it's released - else I lose motivation. The rest of the time I do other things; I rarely do more than a few of these stretches a year. Well, that and the fact that due to having a lot of other things to take care of, I haven't released anything in the last year anyway

I operate in cycles...

I'd go from playing video games, to wasting money out in clubs and fine dining, to long stupours in front of the television, to editing AMVs and back again.

Indeed there are very many things that happen in my life like you mentioned, but whether by choice or habit, it ends up that I don't focus on all of them thoroughly at once.

x2 - usually concentrated around a section of time in the winter and spring.

I have a life during the day and i edit all night.

And if i didnt enjoy editing i wouldnt be doing it
