woot, i am very hyped about this amv, or fmv (Fan-made music video) as i may call it, for a number of reasons
1. Dead Fantasy is awsome
2. This is my best amv so it actually is a decent tribute to DF
3. I got to communicate with DF's creator the Mighty, i mean Monty Oum, because of this amv, wouldnt have tried otherwise
4. This amv set quite a big precedent on what will and will not be allowed on this site due to DF not actually being anime, if you didnt see the rather long discussion here it is
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... 77&start=0
5. This is my first "fanservice" amv, although it is probably not what you think when the word fanservice comes to mind when dealing with amvs

I like comments and i love opinions, so enjoy and if you have any love/hate to send me then do so!

Interesting stuff. Dead Fantasy is incredible, so expectations are high!

+ The mashup song is pretty cool.
+ Song works very well with this source. Great stylistic choice there.
+ Good action sync for the most part.
+ Props for choosing this source and getting it approved. A step in the right direction.
+ Transition to lava scene was great.
+ Dead Fantasy never gets old. <3

- The horizontal letterboxing is awful and really detracts from watching. Either reduce the resolution or scale up the footage.
- Mashup song is very muddy.
- Sync could have been more deliberate and powerful. Feels like there were many small missed moments.
- Flow basically follows the chronology of the original. Could have been much more exciting for those familiar with the source if it was significantly rearranged.
- Wished there were more transitions like the lava scene one.

I think you could have been a lot more creative with this, but seeing as it's the first Dead Fantasy AMV on this site, it will undoubtedly wow people who are new to the source. And getting more people interested in DF and similar proudctions is a noble endeavor. I do love how meta this AMV is (a fan-made video of a fan-made video).

Biggest problem is the horizontal letterboxing. I strongly suggest you fix that and re-render.

6.5/10

Hmm... It seems a bit slower than the series itself. It was an okay action video, but the Dead Fantasy Series is nothing but action. Kinda have mixed feelings on this, but it was an alright video.

Well, you already know I like it, lol. I dig a lot of the more subtle, internal sync throughout the video, often having 3 or more sync points in a single clip. It's easily a solid action video. I'll be keeping it around for future entertainment purposes. :P

And nice cover for that one cut. ;) lol

Keep honing your skills and you could be one to watch out for here pretty soon. Keep it up.
... yea ...
