edit: Hm, not bad. But I really think you should have used a different anime for it. Something like NGE would have suited the mood of the song better. The cherry blossoms didn't really add to the depressed mood of the song ... and the scene in the plane didn't really fit either.

EDIT: It was decent. Technically speaking, I liked the flow. Your cross-fades worked just fine with the occasional flashes. But sometimes the sharp cuts kinda cut the flow for me a little. I mean the cuts between all the cross-fades for no apparent reason O.o You could have impressed better with more intense choruses though, but whatever.
And scene-selection-, mood-wise I liked the verses. It was pretty hard to get used to a different kind of a combination for 5cm and Beyond the Clouds but it sorted out nicely on the verses part. However, the scenes you chose for the choruses felt simply off O.o Perhaps it's just personal preference but I thought you could have used scenes that'd be more depressing and angsty than the verses instead of filling it up with epic and dramatic scenes. Didn't really for work the song, imo.
I started wondering whether that was just heavy symbolics my simple little mind couldn't handle, especially that the last scene was pretty open for interpretion, but whatever you did there, I would have prefered it depressing and even more depressing just like the song =|
But anyway, it was a cool watch nevertheless 3/5
