Asuka + Shinji bittersweet romance video.
Well, I know a lot of people have mixed (or very clear, heh) feelings about Evangelion, and being a classic it is bound to have a lot of videos made for it.
So, if you don't like Eva, or don't like sentimental videos, don't sweat it, give this one a miss.
This is my second video after coming back to AMVs from a four year + break, I'll be posting my first (since the break) soon as well, methinks.
I would be grateful for any comments and constructive criticism from any and all of you. I'm considering this one for entry into a contest at PortConMaine or Otakon, and I've never done that before.
Thanks. If anyone would like to request that I take a look at one of their AMVs in return, I write detailed and honest comments.

Hey guy,
Thanks for the reply! Yeah, sorry I sometimes forget how much having dial-up could put a damper on things like this.
I'm really a stickler for quality, but H.264 tends to compress fairly well. I'll see what I can do.
And yes, Abandoned Pools did the Clone High theme, and in fact many of their songs were featured in the series, including "Never", the song for this video! Clone High was awesome. =0

poor dial up ppl lol. It only took me 2 minutes to get this :3. I remember your videos from WAY back when, so once I saw your name I got all choked up and stuff hehe.
unfortunately the video was only so so. I don't wanna disued you from thinking it's good, it shows good effort. 6 years ago ^.^ but, believe me, I bitch about this myself, it's just not up to speed with current editing techniques. As far as con-worthy? I'd say it MIGHT be able to get you into a smaller con, just don't expect to win anything. Overall it's got interlacing problems, a few logic problems I didn't like (too literal for my bones) and a bit too much on the lip flap.

Thanks for the feedback, Knowname.
I haven't really watched an AMV in a while. A few months back I watched Hsien's "Caramel" Noir vid. I thought it was OK, but I definitely still prefer his "My Iron Lung" FLCL vid. I guess I'm kind of old school, I don't like vids that are too flashy.
Thanks for remembering me and stuff. =0
Yeah, I'd been considering this one for Otakon, but I've got some ideas for another FLCL video that I think would work better. I guess I made this one out of pure fandom and sentimentality. Might still submit it to PortConMaine...
Do you have any videos that you would suggest I watch in order to get a sense of what qualifies for a "good" video these days? I'm sincerely interested.
Thanks again!

Thanks Guy, I'll try that.guy07 wrote:Cool :3
For going through all that trouble, i'll be sure to leave a op for you.
Not: If it's interlaced, try changing the frame rate to 23.??? fps. That will help make the video smaller and SHOULD help with the interlacing.
Unfortunately, I'm pretty busy today, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to re-encode and re-up. I definitely look forward to hearing your thoughts, however.
Thanks again!
