Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

My First AMV Video

Post by jakes420 » Tue Jan 16, 2007 6:56 pm

Hey all. Been a big fan of the site for a while now and finally got off my butt to make an AMV. I do have a bit of editing training, but making an AMV can be harder than most think (for me at least!), so Kudos to all the AMV creators out there.

Now that the brown nosing is out of the way, as I mentioned, I made my first AMV. It was made with the help of posts and how-to pages. I am still working on the encoding and cleaning of the videos, so I am hoping the next one I make will be better. Also, I got some timing down, but I seem to have missed some opportunities with some other scenes.

I use Vegas for the editing, but am planning on getting Premiere and AE with what money I have saved for it and student grant cash, so expect to see me on those boards asking a lot of newbish questions when I get those programs in a couple weeks.

Here is the link to my vid. Let me know honest opinions (I have thick skin) so I can try and work out any kinks I may have.

Thanks for reading my rambling! [/url]

well.... it seems that you will become a very good avm maker if you keep on training your editing skills but for that you have long way to walk.

1 the edition wasnt so bad keeping in mind that this is your first video
2 the scyn it isnt good betwene the image and the sound
3 the videos it was hard to understand that was because you have not choose the write images.
