We need more post-rock

Post by CrackTheSky » Thu Dec 14, 2006 3:04 am

I think someone out there, preferrably a more technical editor, should edit a video to a song (or portion of a song) by a band like Sigur Ros, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky...there are videos that use this kind of music, but most of them aren't available for download. I'd really love to see someone pick this idea up...I'm thinking of doing one or two myself, but I probably won't be able to get around to it/them for a while.

Any takers?

I´ve checked out the Sigur Ros website. Well... I don´t have a plan wich language it is speaked there, but I had downloaded a song from there:
kjartan_sveinsson-sidasti_baerinn.mp3

Maybe it means, that we can use this music for free. It was quite clam and there comes images up in my head that let me see some womans doing Yoga (I hope you know what I mean).

Check it out... It is some really calm stuff and is maybe a good thing for drama/sentimental amvs.

Never really heard much in the way of post-rock, but in the interest of expanding my horizons, AMV's aside, I'll give it a listen.

By the way -Bauzi- if you're asking about the language, the band Sigur Ros is Icelandic, although a lot of their songs are sung in a made up language called "Hopelandic" (or "vonlenska"), which is mostly gibberish. Kind of open-ended source for an AMV...
