video card opinion

Post by animenobaka » Mon Mar 27, 2006 5:51 pm

Alright I'm finally going to build my own video editing workstation since my dad does not want me to touch his anymore. I got all the motherboard, cpu, hard drive, ram, set and all but it seems my video card is outdated. I saw on ebay a third-party radeon 9600 pro from gigabyte for $47 which is perfect for my budget. Any of you guys heard of this brand?

Gigabyte makes good motherboards, I have one in my new computer. The 9600 card should be a pretty good card. Try searching google for any reviews that might be around. The 9600 has been around a while so I would think there wouldn't be to many bugs left. Check Gigabyte web site, they may have more info and specs on the card for you.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

I see alright thanks, though I ended up buying the Radeon 9700 Pro for about $5 bucks more on ebay (not a bad deal). Thanks for the tip.
