i dont think i spellt it wrong i looked on the back of my FLCL dvds...if they spellt it wrong its not my fault

That's debatable as romanization is a scary thing and in this case having"u" after an "o" just means you're holding the "o" for emphasis. No one's really at fault, it's just a different interpretation.

An example of multiple ways to romanize the same title: Tenjho Tenge, Tenjo Tenge, Tenjou Tenge. All of those are acceptable.

But "Tenjou" really does have a long O in it. Does "Naota"? I don't remember them pronouncing it that way...

From what I've seen, people don't seem to mind too much when the "second letter" of the romanization of a long vowel is dropped or changed (Azumanga Daioh, Fushigi Yûgi, Kyo-kun, etc.), but if a short vowel is made into a long one, that's a different story.
