Bebop VS Lupin [similarities?]
Why?.......why not? It just uncanny how much that are alike. Yet no one cares. Spike=Lupin(same suit and tie thing), Jet=Jegin(they even have the same beard), Faye=Fujiko(well..you know were there alike), and Vicous=Geomon(Sword, Samuria Etc.). Lupin(manga) came out in 1967 and Cowboy Bebop came out in 1998 i believe. What the F@#k isn't that like copyright enfringment. I would still take bebop over Lupin but what the hell?

Wow.
This thread is very relevant.
Ever heard of emulation? Search for it.
"copyright enfringment"? Going out on a limb and assuming you meant Copyright Infringement.
How so? They may be alike; but Lupin III -> Cowboy Bebop wasn't a "copy-paste" thing.
For example George Lucas got the inspiration for Star Wars from Kurosawa Akira's "The Hidden Fortress".
Did he copy Kurosawa-sama? No, he just used some filming techniques and based R2D2 and C3PO on two characters from "The Hidden Fortress".

Look at Nabeshin from Excel Saga/Puni Puni Poemy or Naota's dad in episode...4(?) or 5 of FLCL. Lupin perodies/homages/references are throughout anime.

Star Wars is The Hidden Fortress.
George Lucas said so in The Criterion Collection "The Hidden Fortress".
He raves for five minutes.
It may be both of them but hell; I know my Star Wars history.
This is pointless...

Funny thing, in the original manga, Goemon actually WAS a late-comer to the group. For the first few volumes it was just Lupin and Fujiko with Jigen's presence steadily increasing (he was in Lupin's syndicate from the beginning, but it wasn't until the manga took off that he actually became Lupin's right-hand man.)reservoireddog wrote:you know whats funny I always thought that Goemon never really belonged in the group with Lupin and the others. And its funny that Vicious is a trader and the main villian
Goemon came into the story when Lupin was trying to steal something from his master (can't remember what off the top of my head.) After he succeeded, Goemon was impressed enough to join them.

Ever notice that whenever Lupin is mentioned in a thread, the phrase "copyright infringement" is almost always mentioned? *cough* Maurice LeBlanc *cough*
Anyways, who's Ed supposed to be then? Besides Kaolla Su from Love Hina. Or that little squirt from the French "Nighthood" Arsene Lupin cartoon, who's a guy anyway and doesn't even look like her.
