does any one know were i can download the windows program that will let my computer show japanese text in chat rooms? it says i need the disc that came with my computer but i lost it

there an anime chat room all in japanese and when i go there all the japanese text looks like little boxes...

kajino's right, on the help and support website under upgrades and updates, just scroll down and there should be langueage updates with the one that suits you, if that doesnt work for whatever reason, (dont see why it shouldnt) just go to a web site that has jap text, it should tell you that you need an update to view everything, and it will find it for you. if all else fails spin around trice, throw salt over your shoulder and say "dazbagus" 5 times fast.

i did that first, but i think i did it wrong so i tried it again... and after the nineth time trying that im strating to think your making fun of me

Make sure your computer allows for Japanese script (try Settings>Control Panel>Regional and Language).

This will probably only allow you to read and input depending on how well you accomplish this task. Though I don't guarantee the input part, sometimes it's not supported.

Other that I hear google has a few sites you can search for

But yea, this is General Anime, not Microsoft Support Center.
