Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

just anthor my first

Post by Maver » Fri Jul 16, 2004 5:39 pm

yeah so i made an amv finaly if you read the discription it tells that i only used one ep (the first one of escaflown) for this and all of this amv was random bits and peaces i had to put together kinda like the amv cheif thing. it was fun but you can see toward the end of the amv i got really desperate for footage so the end part is pretty bad but the begining i don't think is too bad for my first amv.

anyway say the truth i know it isn't at all great, but if you tell me wats wrong with it, it can make my futer amvs better so don't be afraid to speak your mind.

well thats about it heres the linkage

 That was good but...

You need to learn how to use vituralDub it will kill all those ugly lines in your picture and ya you do need to get more footage but as for a first video you are allowed to make 5 mistakes before you need to think about starting the video over you only made 2 (I made 4)

Good job! :D

thanks alot i've been around here alot and seen alot of stuff, yeah those lines are called interlacing i believe and it think there somthin in my editor i can do to get rid of them just more things to learn along the way.

when i started out on this project and was thinking wat anime to use i'm thinking how the heck am i suppost to keep track of 26 eps, i mean you must really know the anime to be able to take peices all over and put them togeather, and so i thought with only one ep it was a good way to start and i really shouldn't waste my time with those other 3 eps but lol half way through i went crap i'm out of footage lol.

All you need to know as a new editor is in This Guide
Made by AbsoluteDestiny & ErMaC (Who have helped alot on the help boards)

But V-Dub (VituralDub) is excelent to learn if you learn it well enough you could edit your hole video in it and to top it off it is free sorry don't have link at the moment.

There's a "Deinterlace" filter in vdub. To use it go to Video > Filters > and add "Deinterlace" from the list (and out the options "blend" seems the most popular).

A better way I've heard is to use a few avisynth filters; but that's in the guide our friend posted earlier.
