i need help?

i'm really new at making videos and the like.
i'm having a really wierd problem... i keep downloading videos from this site but once i try to play them back they stop. i keep clicknig the play button but nothing happens, it will just stop again.
i was wondering if this is a common problem and if anyone knows who it can be fixed? or maybe i'm just dowloading them wrong? i dont know, but i need someone's help... Please

Which software are you using?

If it's an mpeg, you may need to play it in a dvd playing program.

He's talking about MPEG2, which have the extension .mpeg

Yes, I only trust dvd-playback programs and MPC when it comes to mpeg-2. Other filters (including ffdshow) have problems on many accasions...

it is all of them that are giving me trouble...
