My second vid, experimenting with timing and special fx

Post by xervantes » Sat May 01, 2004 4:14 am

I just released my second vid "who's the firestarter?"

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=37787

In the first one I was just eager to see if I could make an AMV (I guess that went OK). In this one however I wanted to get practise with timing and special FX. Also I followed the Guides :D , because the first vid was a 80mb monster with quite a lot of quality loss.

I think it all came together quite niceley. It's an Akira vid with music from the Prodigy (yep you guessed it firestarter). It's all out action, with one dramatic moment/dreamsequence near the end.

I'm particuraly proud of the last part (done wthh paintshop pro) because I never thougt I could do that kind of technique but it worked.

Let me know what you think!

I'm not particularly a fan of straight action videos but this wasn't bad. The effects aren't overly intrusive and the timing was fairly decent. Not bad for a second video.

Wow! What a good amv. The timing at the beginning of the bomb blowing up were cool because it went with the music and all. One thing, I play the video it plays it upside down. Is it suppose to be like that? And I love the ending part, now that was pretty good. Good job for your second vid! :D

Thanx for the replies :D
And no the video isn't supposed to play upsidedown. Plays fine here, I tested it with windows with the Ati-player and bsplayer and with Linux with both mplayer and Kaffeine.

And again thanx :P

Cool vid, not my taste in music, but good. Especially the beginning with the bombs
