DBZ Filter in Super Search

Post by darkpeace » Sun Mar 28, 2004 7:42 am

DBZ Filter in Super Search:

Well it is ment to be a Super Search, but 90% of the hits are DBZ.

DBZ is not the sort of thing many class as animé, just like Sailor Moon, the two of them need filters to display only DBZ stuff (for the DBZ freaks) or not display any DBZ stuff at all (for the animé freaks)

Ditto applies to Sailor Moon content.

That way both the DBZ and antiDBZ (Animé) communities get what they want.

Before flaming think.....this helps both sides does it clearly not ?

Possibly exclude 4.5 star or above material

Post by darkpeace » Sun Mar 28, 2004 7:45 am

Possibly exclude 4.5 star or above material, as a 5 star DBZ clip would interest me, as would a 3.5+ star AMV, but not a 3.5 star DBZMV.

(and the invesrse for those DBZMV lovers that want only 4.5+ star AMV aswell as their DBZMV clips)

You don't need a filter for that, just type "dragonball z" in the Anime field.

Can't help you there.

What exactly are you searching for that you get so many DBZ results? Because I usually get very few or none when searching for songs I like.

You can remove things from a search using a minus sign

So, to seach for Linkin Park videos that don't use anime with "dragon" in the title you do:

anime: -dragon
musical artist: linkin park

and then you'll find about 1500 videos :)

Why the offensive replies ?

Why the offensive replies ?
Just because 'you' think DBZ or Sailor Moon are animé does not mean somebody else does. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and it is clearly a truthful statement, not EVERYONE classes DBZ and/or Sailor Moon as Animé. (can be interpreted as some do, some don't, nonbody cares until someone decides to voice their opinion like its more important than somenoe elses opinion)

To those that actualy replied useful comments, thank you, to that replied meaningless dribble, read the above over and over until it 'clicks'

Good Day,
:)

Special Thanks to AbsoluteDestiny (Oxford, UK, pretty much screams in intellect), for providing a simple workaround (and others)

Have since unsubscribed from the post, don't need fools crying that DBZ and Sailor Moon are animé (as I never said they were not, I simply stated that some people do not class them as animé, they are more in the cartoon realm, but not I debate I planned to create or enter. And no, I have nothing against DBZ, which might confuse those that misread the above)

 I don't see it classified in any every freakin' store or site under "Cartoon" or "Non-Anime". Notice how the letters say...."Anime" everywhere you watch. Define what you consider "true" anime. Cause there isn't something as "true anime" or "false anime" in case of DBZ. It's anime. You can think whatever you want bout DBZ itself, but it's anime. Deal with it.
