Could have been a very good vid, but:
- it's much too long considering there's not that much variation,
- video quality is awful... I was wondering how 6 minutes could fit in 36 MB...
- though I understand what you wanted to do, I think there's still something wrong with those long white flashes... but I couldn't tell exactly what.

Anyway, there's a good synchronization between the music and the scenes you chose, which creates nice action/drama.

Too bad about duration and video quality, because although they are not directly related to your editing skills, which seem to be quite good, they highly lower the overall interest. :(

Thanks for taking your time to review, ambroise. I know the vid was long, but there really wasn't anything i could do about that, except choose a different song, but i really liked that song. It had a lot of good beats to work with. And quality, well, the footage was recorded from the TV, so i know it's very poor. Sorry. But what can i say about the white flashes . . . i guess they looked kinda cool in the beginning, but they didn't work so well toward the end. But I will say, i made this video in one day. One entire day. Maybe i shoulda took more time on it, because like you said, it coulda been good.

I don't know about that. It's not that hard to shorten a song. Get a demo version of Sound Forge or somthing and look for parts you can cut out. Admittedly this song would be harder to edit than most but not impossible. If all else fails you can find somthing that sounds like a ending and fade it out. It may seem dificult at first but I've had a lot of success with it. I even took out two lines from the middle of a verse in my new vid and no one noticed.

I did that for my NTHT vid Zombie (link in my sig below), I cut 1:02 in the middle to bring it from 5:06 back to 4:04.

Nobody noticed. I don't even remember where I cut it (I just listened to the shortened version to try to find out, but I can't tell anymore).

It's quite a common practice for AMVs and it can greatly improve a vid's quality:
- you have less work to do, so you can do it better,
- viewers don't get bored (or less...).

I took your advice and shortened the length of my vid considerably. It used to be close to 6 minutes long, now it is hardly 2 and a half. I like it alot better now, thanks so much for the advice!
