Gundam (0079)
Being a huge fan of Gundam in general I decided, "What kind of Gundam fan would I be if my collection didn't have the original?". So, I head down to Best Buy, pick up the first DVD and I'm shocked to see it's English dubbed only!! Does anyone know why they wouldn't put the original language track in? Also, does anyone know if there are plans to re-release? I would buy it, but I'd rather not spend that kind of money if it's not Bi-Lingual.

Odds are good that there won't be a bilingual cut...reasons
1. Due to time, most of the original Japanese language tracks had aged beyond use.
2. After their release, the movie trilogy was deemed as having the canon edge over the series, thus, while they rerecorded the movie trilogy audio, the series didn't get such a rerecording.
So, long story short...if you want to see the original subs, you've only got two options
1. Bootleg
2. Go for the movie trilogy discs (in which case, you'll get the Japanese track only...they decided not to use the film dubs, most likely since they would conflict with the series dub cast)
Hope that helps
