Is the force with you?
In the latest census, approxiametely 20,000 Canadians said their religion is that of "Jedi". Last time checked, 400,000 people in the UK said that their religion was that of "Jedi" as well.
Of course this is all a joke. Many people say it's much too personal a question to ask what your religion is, so they pretty much just like to joke around. Unfortunetaly, when you joke around this much, it hurts the stats. With these numbers, there are more Jedi in the UK, than there are people who are Jewish! -_-
Talk about weird.

The UK census thing was a kind of running joke that some people set up to say 'look, isn't this census thing stupid?'. You see, if there're a certain minimum number of people who register themselves as being of a certain religion, then the government recognises that religion as 'real'. Somebody thought it would be cool to make 'Jedi' an official religion. Word got around, and a lot of reliogion-sceptics thought it would be more interesting to but Jedi down than none. At one point, there was talk of the government fining people who put it down

no, Hasidic(sp?) Jews look very much like Amish people, just they usualy have the really long cruly sideburns, the amish are allowed to cut them. The hacidic's usualy wear long dark coats, and dress pants/shirts with those hats your usualy thinking of, or they wear those weird russian bear skin hats in the winter.Pie Row Maniac wrote:Damnit, I'm thinking of the Amish again. Good thing they'll never read this though.

I put down Anime Creators as my religion.
I worship the creators of samurai x, rurouni kenshin, excel saga, EVA, zoids, ninja ressurection, ninja scroll... (goes on and on)
At least there i'm worshipping someone thats Physically there
I have yet to see zeus hurling a thunderbolt at me or aphrodite feeding me grapes or god getting rid of my ingrown toenails
either way, at least there is something to take away the pain of reality
