First time online, this won the Master's contest at AWA last year.

If you ever intend to watch Windaria, be advised that there is a non-trivial spoiler in this video.

Oh dear.... a Windaria video with spoilers. I think I'll have to have Dragon Half or the likes spun up in the DVD player to watch immediately after this. I can't wait to see this, I've seen like no Windaria vids...

Are there any others? This is the only one in the database.

They've been slowly bringing these old anime out on DVD and it would be cool if Windaria shows up. With the Japanese audio track this time. The (Macek?) dub was not bad, but they cut a song out of one of the middle scenes and put silence in its place. I suppose that was better than attempting a lame English rendition. But they could have just left the Japanese version in there. Don't know who the singer was, but it was a nice song.

I don't believe I've ever seen any other Windaria videos... and if I have, it would have been back in the mid 90's. I certainly hope it is released on DVD with the original language track. I seem to remember having a fansub of it someplace. I'm really hoping more of the older titles are released, there are definitley some good ones it would be nice to have better copies of (and as video sources).

Nice video! I was a bit surprised... given how the video started out, it didn't have the spoiler I expected it to- (Hopefully this works right... I'll put a bunch of space in to make sure. If you're reading this and don't want the spoiler, skip to the next posting!

I figured you'd have the main character finding out his wife was dead at the end. One of these days if it's released on DVD here I'm going to make one of the most wrong videos ever, and set Windaria to the sequence from Red Dwarf's "The End" with Holly trying to convince Lister ther Dwarf's crew is dead. "And whut about Rimma?" "He's dead Dave. They're all dead. EVERYBODY IS DEAD DAVE." "Wait... Are you trying to tell me everyone's dead?"

That wasn't the spoiler I was thinking of since - as you noticed - I didn't use it in the vid. (For those who haven't seen Windaria, there are two plotlines and each has a surprising climax. Actually, there is a third subplot, too, that is more of a backdrop to the primary ones. It has its own surprise.)

I did change the first storyline slightly. It was more straightforward this way since there wasn't enough time and the lyrics didn't really support the original in that way. But I won't go into any more detail here. :)
