Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

"A Dance for My Love" Posted

Hi!
So admittedly, I finished this AMV pretty quickly, but I took several weeks trying to read up on other video's comments and advice forums (cause I don't know anyone who could give me any ). But anyway, I spent this time to clean up the video quite a bit using what I read. It's not perfect, considering the limitations I had with the software I use, but I hope you guys like it anyway! Thanks for watching if you did! :D

I really liked this song combination for Kanade and Otonashi. Its too bad that their relationship in the anime doesn't get developed nearly as much as the song implies  . But not bad  . 2 pieces of advice I'd give you is to 1) avoid having lip flap in your video when you aren't trying to lip sync. And 2) Try to match movements between scenes to help establish a flow. Vivifx made a great tutorial about this a few years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5Jjxb6Lw7s

And if you're looking for even more tips on editing, here is a really good guide on sync that I feel every editor should read at least once or twice http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... =2&t=92942

  ...First off, thank you so much for the advice! I was starting to wonder if I was going to have to learn on my own :D

Yeah, I admit, I was having issues with the lip flaps, since they happened to show up in pretty much all the scenes I wanted to use. So I thought the next best thing was to at least minimize it. But yeah, I'll keep this in mind as I work on my new ones.
