[Czech Iron Chef 2014] 6 for the price of 1!

So the last year I organized a small Iron Chef among Czech community. There were 7 people participating, including me, which means there were 6 videos from every person (40 in total, since 2 videos weren't finished on time). All videos made in 2 hours time, music assigned before battle - as usual.

These are my submissions from that time (totally vote them in VCAs or something)!

Short, romantic story about true love. True. Love.


A dramatic telling of a young boy's life, which, albeit leisurely and nice, gets cut in its peak. Remember, never say yes.


A video about white knuckles. Life is nice.


If you like Rise Against, don't watch this. If you like experimental, strange and Shigofumi, do watch this. Sharp video.


Submitted this to a local con, so it has credits. Character profile and some extra senshadou. Also having friends is important. Wub wub wub style.


A video that explores buildup and contrast. Short, kinda packed.

Tsumiki's Wish: At fist I was like - sigh, ok romance, lets get this over with - but man I should've known CUTE VIOLETT HAIRED LOLI vid. It's very quirky I'd say. I like it. 4/5

Frappes lui, oui: This could've profited from less linearity. Especially if you know the Anime. Could've used faster editing at part. I like how it perfectly loops though 2.5/5

White Knuckles: Wat. This anime.. wut? Good song/anime combo. Could've used better pacing - like if you transition into the refrain you should atleast change the scene man. Overall enjoyable though a 4/5 also

Cut: that was disturbing.. did you repeat the intro of the song all over? I guess it's uhh.. can't put a number on this.

It's Not Over Till Senshadou Is Over: Skipped this one - I simply can't watch some AMVs with certain animes. Moewargirls is one of those things.

Cold Lift: wow this one has a nice atmosphere too - you totally should've polished this up and released it as non-ic! 4.5/5

Overall I am intrigued by your Anime Choices, they're all great combinations for your respective songs. This helps you enormly create a nice Atmoshpere in your AMVs even though they're ICs.

Frappes: Yeah... it's the one I like the least out of them, probably? Just couldn't get into that IC, opponent nailed it though.
Knuckles: Good anime again, highly recommended watch and totes fun! And yeah, some issues as well, the rhythm is sometimes weird.
Cut: I didn't feel like editing to overused/known song and this was a bit of an experiment. Originally the footage should've looped too, but I think it turned out better this way. Also my opponent abused the audio as well, in a different way.
Senshadou: NP, just, like, your opinion, man~ :>
Cold Lift: Maybe eventually... and yeah, I like that one a lot, probably my best guess as to what could work as audio/anime combo before starting to edit (it isn't totally obvious, too).
