Part of the reason I fell in love with anime was this movie.

Ananke is a Greek concept, which can be roughly translated to dark necessity or death-destiny.... It also has like 5 different english spellings, wtf?

Wasn't this announced yet? :o
Anyway as I said before, I enjoyed the short story I've seen here. Excepting some borders and a few scenes there, overall is enjoyable. And since it's from the old school that gives a different atmosphere to the vid.
Glad to see it here

I held off on announcing it because I was feeling insecure on the efficacy of the narration.

I'm glad you liked it overall.

The scene that you thought was slow in your op... After you said it, it was like "a-duh!" but when I was editing I was too caught up in the impact of that scene within the movie, and I think that skewed my perspective.

I thought this was pretty cool; the sense of drama was accomplished very well. I would've liked to see more zooms at points and while there were moments that went with the song, I almost felt like the song had little to do with the AMV's story overall... but then again, I haven't really seen the film. You've caught my interest on it though and I'll definitely check it out soon.
Nicely done. :)

Thank you!

There are two clips that had overlays that were removed from this version (they're on the youtube version) because I just found them cheesy, but now I wish I had added zooms there. The song didn't really have a lot to do with the story, but it seemed liked a good backdrop and I got more non-literal syncs out of it than I expected when we chose it.

I'm glad you posted this vid because it really is great! Even if the song doesn't always have something to do with the story, it definitely followed the mood you were portraying. :D
