Not actually a Romance video, but more of a Sentimental video.
Misleading titles FTW?

Considering its short length, I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed it. I am notorious for hating black fades with all of my being, but this is one time where I actually feel like it was appropriate and did a good job of using them to facilitate the passing of time and feelings.
The way the story was told and the way that the scenes were put together? It told the same tired story that every other 5 CM video and their dog has told, but it told it in a compelling and interesting way.
I do think that the inclusion of the surfing girl in the middle was an odd choice, since she really didn't have much else to do with these two.
But overall, I really have to say it was well told. Very nicely done and enjoyable to watch.

The story wasn't actually there. I actually tried to convey Shinkai's theme of "Distance", in it's multiple senses. Which is why I included Sumida in the video to show the "Distance of Feelings" shown in Cosmonaut.
