Read the video comments if you want any kind of reasoning behind this character profile AMV though I hope I nailed it without you having to read it  .

I feel really bad about forgetting that kionon helped me with that translation (I didn't remember till after I finished everything and encoded...) since he told me that he went reading through books to find it for me so I'll say it again here. Thanks alot Kio, and to my testers  .

/gets and will comment in a little bit.

Nice to see something new from you, sir!

Edit: I really loved this song with Samurai X / Kenshin, very fitting. I also liked the color work you used for the flashbacks. You interspersed it enough with the full color scene selections to keep it from feeling overused and tired. Wish you would have made Kaoru's bow yellow rather than her obi in the scenes with her running away from the camera though... But that's just me being picky.

This is one of the best Kenshin character profile vids out there - nicely done!

Best Kenshin character profile I've seen in a long time. What you were trying to convey in the video came across well to me, so that's always good :P
Some effects here and there were a little bit iffy, and some of the transitions (:55-:56, 1:58-1:59) I didn't like, but overall I enjoyed your editing. I liked all of the yellow, was very pleasing to the eye. And 2:51 onwards, I thought I'd mention, was my favorite part.
The song and the anime are a pretty good match as well. I smiled as I watched your video and saw how well they worked together. Overall, gj 4/5

I liked it. I thought there were a few sloppy zooms here and there and the one mask of the eye that kinda disrupted the flow, but all together it was pretty solid.

3.7/5

You finally released it bro. You know I liked it the moment I saw the first beta. Song is very fitting for a Kenshin profile and you managed to keep the mood right till the end.
There are a lot of Kenshin AMVs out there but that doesn't change the fact that you can still create something great with it. Enjoyed it a lot.

I admitt it was pretty fun finishing this full length vid, it's definitely been a while since I done a character profile vid! Glad you liked the color scheme. Yeah now that you mention it that scene could have used a bit more work since it was one of the best parts. I would have liked to have toned down the brightness of the yellow there at the very least. Glad you enjoyed it though aunty :o

Thats what I wanted most in the AMV, just to express the other side of Kenshin so its good to hear it went well  . Yeah for some reason 2:51 onwards just seems more relaxed editing to me, I think it was cause I wasn't so stressed out about reaching the deadline for the con by then or something, but overall I had those last parts in my head planned out and those ideas typically work out the best on the timeline. Thanks for comment!

Heh, I don't think I'm ever going to perfect zooms or maybe its just we see things differently. I thought the speed of em fit the music pretty well but maybe I could have toned em down a bit. I had some trouble getting that eye mask to work properly for the transition to his younger self in the next scene. Anyway thanks for comment.

Hope you enjoyed it. If there's a rise against MEP going on and I wasnt invited then... :nono:. If you meant the source though, I hope the amv helped some how.

Yeah, I was listening to Rise against songs and when this one came up it just clicked. It was great how well matched they were. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for all your help too.

loved the start of the video, but IMO, especially in the end, you put too many effects in it. Such an impacting (impacted? impact-full :/ *shrug*) song doesn't need any/ many effects to add any impact.

But a very well made Kenshin video :).

Don't know why but somethings happened with local version ;p cos it didn't play properly, there was no synchronization and everything goes to fast ;p so I watched preview ;p and...

Fine to see you editing Kenshin amv ;p (haven't seen any for a long time). Good work with character profile  song fits pretty well. Amv keeps the atmosphere till the end  Like most of effects, expecting some zooms ;p
Good work

I agree it could have worked without them but I don't really think any of them weren't beneficial to the clips, I tried to keep it all subtle towards the end but the end did need more going on hence all the overlays of him getting memories back. Thanks for comment.

Hmmm... I haven't had any other complaints so far about the local and I re-downloaded it just to make sure, it plays fine. Make sure you got all the necessary updates or aren't using an old version of a 3rd party video player. The h264 build I used was the latest stable. If you depend on Haali Media splitter for playback then make sure you have the newest version of that as well, older versions have been known to have bad sync problems with the newest builds from what I hear but I don't use it.

I am aware of an audio problem on the preview though, for some reason the preview is scratchy and sounds nasty in a few places particularly his voice in the beginning. Not sure what caused that because it sounds fine when playing the downloaded local.

Anyway thanks for comment glad you liked it!
