The last episode of the anime is actually within manga canon, the manga continues after that point, however. Well after that point.

You really should read the manga to the end. It's good.

Good question. I've searched for information about the number of episodes and the highest it has gone to was episode 167 which supposedly ended the series. This means that they may not play any more episodes past 167, but apparently, the manga continues after it. Don't know if they're planning to play anymore, but so far, it may be the last episode for the anime.

The manga may be the one place to look into since the anime hasn't passed that episode at all.

Does everyone remember how badly the Inuyasha anime ended?
It seems some people want to correct this.

wow, i didn't think they would continue the series, it's been years since it stopped. But i guess with the manga finally concluding they figured they could cash in on an already popular series that has a dedicated fan base. I'm looking forward to it, there are a number of really cool scenes in these episodes, hopefully they will improve on the animation as well.
