Yes, that's EXACTLY the concept. If I plan right I think the deadline will probably be in late July, I hope to have a mailing list created this weekend.

And I do have an MP3 of the Ronin Warriors theme if you need it. The only drawback to this project is the quality of the song rips, since they aren't off CDs and not all the shows have been released on DVD to rip the wav yourself sometimes the quality of the piece can be sketchy.

And yes, any anime from any generation can be used.

It's been done (Somebody did a remix of Pork Chop sandwhiches to Eva), but it really doesn't fit in with the theme of oldschool cartoon THEME SONGS.

bah, amv4000 claimed Darkwing Duck. :x :P

Maybe I can claim the *other* old school TMNT theme from 1996 or so, not the original version. I can rip this off my dvds.

Let's hope the old school cartoon project doesn't turn into "look at all the different themes of sonic the hedgehog!" XD

Ah july, I can probably do that. I think I want to listen to the song for Rounin warriors again to see if I can use it, I can't remember it clearly, its been a loooooong while since I saw that on TV ;p

If not I'll probably do Robotech if nothing else. Robotech does have some good older style music on it. Can it be any song from the series or it has to be the opening theme music?

eitherway, once you get the project on the road, I'm definately interested.

Just go grab one of the Ronin Warriors DVDs. Plenty are available and they get sold at cons for $10 or less.

Ok, I have two midterms on Tuesday so I'll have the mailing list created then. But before I forget

http://soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/

That is the most comprehensive collection of tv theme mp3s I have found and even includes ones I'd been searching for for years. So If you have track ideas but don't have the MP3 or are looking for ideas try going through there. One warning though, the site suffers from a ridiculous amount of popups but the downloads are in fact safe.

Correction: These are WAV files, so this is ideally where you want to get your tracks from less you rip them yourself.

Alright, I definately don't remember the theme that's "Sonic2.wav" but OMG.
Me = called to Paranoia Agent.

AMV Hell wannabe here I come. XP

I'd also like to make a tentative call on swatkats3.wav for Wolf's Rain. (Swat Kats). I don't know how this will turn out, so I'm just going to start editing it before the actual project and see what happens. So if someone else knows they can do this track, give it to them.

But yeah, the quality of these aren't so great. Although, you can't really expect much from stuff as old as this. X|

Edit: OMG you guys!

Also, if anyone was looking for the really old Spiderman jingle("SPider man, Spider man, does whatever a spider can..") then it's here.

Even with popup blocker this site is extremely annoying to navigate. X|
