Again, you fail to understand the point. First of all, some of the best ideas in the world have come from non-professionals.
Really, which ones? And please, be as specific as you can. ^_^
You don't need to be a 'pro' or have a degree to come up with good ideas.
And yet when a business goes to hire people, huh, for some STRANGE reason they tend to go with the proffesionals...funny that. I guess maybe they just haven't gotten around to seeing things through your eyes, huh?
I'm not scared by the way you think. Trust me, I have no reason to be afraid. I learned that a long time ago.
It has absolutely nothing to do with validation.
Uh huh, if you say so.
It has to do with learning and in turn helping others learn.
...no offense or anything but you sound like some kind of hippie flower child tryin to preach endless love and hapiness on earth. It's a nice sentiment, it really is, but uh...it's just not the way reality works. *shrugs*
That's the most positive way you can be no matter what the art form. It in turn makes you a better person and better at your art.
Well maybe that works for you and if it does go for it, but uh, some of us have our own methods and they work best for us...if you can't accept that, well, maybe you have something wrong with you.
Many answers are found in the most simplest of places.
What is the sound of one hand clapping, Grasshopper? *rolls eyes*
Again, you fail to see that and it's your loss.
What you fail to see is that it would be YOUR loss...not mine. The way that YOU further YOUR art is NOT the way that *I* further mine...so it's no loss to me.
That's very unfortunately for you. Your close minded attitude makes me feel sorry for you.
Really though, you're the one whose actually closed minded because you're trying to say that YOUR WAY is the ONLY WAY. Where as I'm saying YOUR WAY may work best FOR YOU and that's fine, but *I* have *MY* own way and that works best FOR ME...but for some reason you can't deal with that.
The attitude you carry is the kind of thing that tarnishes good work no matter how spectacular it may be. If I were looking to hire a video editor (and that's something I probably will be doing in the future), I wouldn't give someone with your attitude a first or second glance and that's how a lot of things work in the real world.
I pay a certain price for my opinions, ideals, beliefs, etc...and while it may "tarnish" my work in YOUR eyes...well...you'll be dead and gone in less than a hundred years and uh...guess what? Yeah, my art will be around for a LOT longer than that...kinda neat how that works. ^_^
Believing your above others only makes you a winner in your own mind and no where else.
...but that's where it's most important. See it's about attitude. In your mind, if you don't THINK you're the best...you'll never be the best. The question is whether or not you're using ego to FURTHER your work or whether you're using it as an excuse to STOP working...me, I use it to FURTHER my work...and in that respect it's highly effective. My range of skill and ability level increases at a near exponential rate in more fields than you can even imagine...but only because I constantly strive to be one of the best...it doesn't matter whether YOU don't think so, all that matters is that it's what *I'M* striving for. Without that attitude...I wouldn't even remotely have the range the skill that I currently have. Sites like these that I've made wouldn't even exist:

http://www.backwater-productions.net/care-bears/
http://www.backwater-productions.net/npindex/index.html
*shrugs*
The people who use those sites...I'm sure they would agree that the method I'm using is best FOR ME. Maybe not for you, but for me, it's the best way.
