  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Since i love our admins, i'd like to apologise (yeah... :? ) and.... what the hell. I already told you i didn't like your amv for many reasons (lack of editing, un-original, capture quality, subs, etc)...

....SO, here's some advice anthonypokemon.

NEVER again use Naruto, Bleach or Dragonball. Unless you are extremely talented, and as i see you are not. Maybe in the future you will become something uber, who knows.

Get rid of movie maker. Real editors use Sony Vegas, Adobe Premier or After Effects. Unless you see editing as a hobby.

Don't throw randomly scenes, just because they show something awesome. See if the fit properly, then proceed.

Spend at least 10 hours total. Learn from your mistakes and in the end polish your video. I always find mistakes and flaws in my amvs before i finish them.

Pray to God that someone will like it and comment.

note...*please dont tilte the topic with the word "Naruto"* Bad things will happen usually.
But yea this video obviously had nothing special to it what so ever. Some Irony for ya, I actually did a naruto video to this song about 4 years ago and it was just as bad as this. Please dont say you left the subtitles in the video to understand what the character is saying =| That is a horrible fucking excuse for being too lazy to look for subless episodes or GOD FORBID ripping a dvd.

my suggestions for you "stop using naruto" It's a fucking hard source to make look good here, almost impossible.
Dont use J-pop....
read some how-to's

EDIT : sorry animated...didnt see ur post >_>;; basicley said everything that needed to be said.

In his defense, the subtitles were clearly added post-editing. Which is why I explained that subs added nothing because the lyrics in Japanese did not either and didn't berate him for "leaving them in." Adding subs for the English speakers would make sense if scene selection followed the lyrics, but even in Japanese, it does not. So subtitles are absolutely worthless. He expended effort, and the visual quality of the subs was quite nice. It was just that the effort was completely unneeded.

Well, i understand why everyone says half of the things that are writen here with all Naruto/Bleach/DragonBall AMVs here, but u should use WHAT U LIKE and not what other ppl tell u to use. If u like Naruto, use naruto. U're editing for your own pleasure, not "ours". Editing is supposed to be funny and a act of self-expression, so yeah, for the sake of god don't be like that ppl who even get to only download anime for the sake of editing.

See editing as a hobby? well, i think most of ppl here see it as a hobby, no one is trying to conquer the world with editing AMVs :| Some want to be recognized, some do it 'cause they aren't good at anything else, some do it for fun. I think the a-m-v.org welcomes everyone who edits amvs, not just the ones who take it seriously, right? (but u should still use anything other then WMM :P)

Well i agree with everything else. So yeah, hope to see something much better next time!

Well if they weren't typically the first thing people tried to edit with... I imagine if everyone tried editing (and totally failed with) say... Kanon, we'd all hate that immediately too. But usually, Kanon videos are pretty decent, if not outright awesome, and are almost never someone's first editing source.

While my editing is an act of self-expression, with rare exceptions, I only BUY anime for source. I mostly just watch it for source as well. With sooooo much of it around me 24/7, I have to have a reason to wade through it. Editing is usually that reason. Is this a problem?

Actually, no. We're a pretty elitist, arrogant, judgmental lot. Even those of us who are generally helpful and generally nice have our moments where we feel compelled to rip into the occasional newbie.

I totally agree.

And....

Even I am still using some naruto scenes. There will be one or two in my next project. But... i lately started to believe that i edit, in order to please others and become more and more popular down here, not for my pleasure.

And i like that! It's my choice!
