Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

but yeah, it reminds me of your 'style' (even if you dont like that word) from duel of blades, the ice skating video... yeah actually pretty much every video you've done. not to say that they are all the same stylistically, but this video has elements that seem familiar from all of them. actually, if you watch koop's waking hour or through time, through space, they seem to have a lot of the stylistic elements i'm talkin about. some of your past videos reminded me of those videos too, but this one had the indie chick music going too, so i guess i really had to point it out.
anyways, enough pigeonholing of your video, it had good moments. i'm not familiar with the anime or song, and it was a bit hard for me to connect with the amv throughout. but definitely pleasant to watch.

An XviD version of this video is now up for download, thanks to Ileia.
Check it out if you can't play x264 encodes.

But it's good to know that my videos are different yet still familiar, somehow. Perhaps it involves more than editing at the conscious level?

You'd think more people would, but I guess it's not as well-known. Anyway, I'm glad the guy who made SotS likes this video.JCD wrote:for using Legend of the Phoenix

Thanks!atis wrote:Good editing! I enjoyed it. Great amv
That sounds pretty good coming from you, since you seem to be a tough critic. >__> Thanks!Niotex wrote:8.5/10
Haha, I don't know if it's "emo," but parts of it are introverted I guess. Glad you liked it!jade_eyed_angel wrote:oooo an emo kaleido vid... awesome =]

I still don't know what this "style" is that everybody's talking about... maybe it's like how people can't hear their own accents?downwithpants wrote:but yeah, it reminds me of your 'style' (even if you dont like that word) from duel of blades, the ice skating video... yeah actually pretty much every video you've done. not to say that they are all the same stylistically, but this video has elements that seem familiar from all of them.

Yea, you do have a fairly distinguishable way of editing, I call it an 'editing approach' more so than style. It really just has to do with the way you understand/interpret music and visuals, and it's showing clearly since you've got the technical side of editing very well under control. The way you've tackled the whole business of combining video+music has always been pretty consistent, you just add new things (technical creative) into it each time.
Mind you, most good editors are like that! In your case, it's just that I can tell things about your videos because I know them better than most other editors'...
Besides, come on, it's just such a Jasper video. You can't deny it.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
