By "higher video quality", we generally mean that the video will look crisper and cleaner overall, with fewer artifacts (macroblocking, etc.), and it will probably also be easier to compress to a distributable filesize. It has nothing to do with editing skill.

im just fed up with trying to help someone and them giving me an excuse at every turn :/

or someone that doesnt seem to want to pay attention..

plus if you have paid for your source, it give the companies one less person to bitch about them losing money to downloads

..

i was just giving them reasons to use the dvds over the fansubs :/

Well the DVD's are better for the quality and the sound.
Downloading is illegal but then again so is distributing.
