Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

T.T ok so no one believes me... but wtf is antialiasing?

It feels nice to be taken seriously... Well, I can't really do anything other than apologize for this whole mess (again), promise I won't do it again and go to the appropriate forums to find out what "antialiasing" means and why my compressed video was so damned big. Flame me, give me bad rewiews (at the very least I deserve 3 or below in video quality) or whatever else you have in mind (except for killing me, 'cause it's hard to do from a different continent ;-] )

ps I watched the afore-mentioned video and I have 1 question (slightly off-topic) where did that beaver/chipmunk thing in a robe come from?

pps sorry for the typos im using my osk because i spilled juice on the keyboard

Antialiasing Explained
In the picture I posted, the background is yellow, the line is brown, and the parts added by antialiasing are the light brown dots/lines around the mouth line. They make the mouth line look smoother.

Gan-chan the rat came from Adventures of the Mini-Goddess.

thx, dokidoki! If I really were to do that in Paint, it'd have been pixel-by-pixel, right? can I apply antialiasing to an entire video sequence in AP? probably yes, never mind answering that. I'll just scavenge for my manual

ps sorry again for all that, won't do it again (or lie about it )

well, in spite of this scene, I hope you liked the video. Please leave an op anyone!!

layers donkey, layers ;p no, but as I understand it antialiasing is just drawing one scene over and over and over again, I have no degree in this so don't lynch me if I'm wrong... Anyway in my next video without text or audio edits via premeire(and that isn't 70+ megs already) I'm gonna layer my final copy a number of times in premeire, see if it improves any. Just a theory 8-) hope that makes up for my joke.... but that WOULD be anti-aliasing... in some strange universe ;p.

Text looks blurry when AAed, audio doesn't stack so don't try -_-.
